Turkey | Smart Home Infrared Sensor Module Customization

Background: A Turkish smart home solution provider wants to develop a very small, concealed installation, and wide viewing angle human body sensing module. Standard PIR lenses cannot be balanced in size and angle performance.

Aubor solution: We started with light field simulation and designed a "oblique incident" Fresnel structure optimized for corner arrangement. The lens size is compressed to 10mm diameter, and the horizontal detection angle is achieved above 120. To ensure the sensing distance, the customer's detector packaging solution is also optimized.

the end result: The product has successfully entered the European multi-country smart switch channel and has been applied to a variety of hidden lighting systems, becoming one of the customer's popular SKUs.

Australia | Customized industrial and mining infrared detection equipment

Background problem: The customer developed an infrared thermal imaging device for mining and mountain operations. It needs to customize a wide-angle lens that can adapt to the 1550nm band and has rain and fog resistance. However, the general lens on the market is not up to standard in terms of transmittance and weather resistance.

Aubor solution: Aubor selects materials based on HDPE modification scheme and cooperates with high-permeability material nano-coating process to maintain the transmittance of more than 90% in the 1550nm band. At the same time, the multi-section multi-focal Fresnel structure is designed to enhance the edge recognition ability and meet the complex scene use in mining areas.

the end result: the product runs continuously for more than 1200 hours in extreme climate conditions without performance degradation, and the customer project successfully passes the third-party thermal imaging calibration certification, forming a long-term cooperative relationship.

China | intelligent machine vision module upgrade

BACKGROUND: A service robot manufacturer is facing bottlenecks such as insufficient recognition accuracy, large module size, and unstable imaging of ToF modules, which seriously limits the miniaturization and reliability of the product.

Aubor Solution: We customized a miniature aspherical ToF lens group for it. By compressing the structure volume through a free-form surface, while tuning the focal length and FOV angle, we achieved a more stable center-edge uniform illumination. In addition, the lens surface adopts a low-reflection coating to improve the ranging accuracy in low light.

Final Results: The final module thickness of the customer is reduced by 23%, the ranging error is reduced by nearly 30%, and the stability is tested in a mixed white light/infrared environment, accelerating the entry of its robot series into mass production.
